About the event
This session is an independently organised facilitated pilot examining how climate policy communication and public understanding operate in practice within a Scottish context.
While climate targets and delivery plans are increasingly well defined at governmental and international levels, public clarity, trust, and everyday comprehension of these policies remain uneven. European climate frameworks recognise that behavioural change and policy delivery depend not only on regulation, but on how clearly policies are understood and experienced by citizens.
This session forms part of an ongoing small-scale practice series testing structured discussion formats designed to surface practical insight into how climate messaging, consultation, and policy communication are received in lived experience.
The purpose of the session is not consultation, campaigning, or advocacy. It is a pilot exercise testing whether structured, low-resource facilitated discussion can identify where communication succeeds, where confusion persists, and where trust or participation barriers arise.
