Examining how everyday choices are shaped by practical constraints, infrastructure, and available options in a Scottish Context
This session is an independently organised, facilitated pilot exploring how climate policy interacts with everyday decision making in a Scottish context.
While national climate strategies often focus on targets, legislation, and communication, real world outcomes depend heavily on the practical choices people make in daily life. This session examines how those decisions are actually formed in practice.
Rather than debating policy positions or environmental beliefs, the session focuses on understanding the practical pathways that shape behaviour. Participants will be invited to reflect on everyday decisions, such as transport, shopping, heating, or travel, and identify the real factors that influenced those choices, including cost, time, infrastructure, availability, habit, and risk.
